Lots of exciting news!
I have a feeling that 2012 will be one of my most productive years! I have started to work with a fabulous booking agent, Hilda Sandgren at MTA Produktion. She will handle my work with Emil Ernebro and GEJOMA. She will also put a concept and a tour together for the summer of 2012 and develop the "Jul på Svenska" project (with Jan Lundgren and Arild Andersen). The three of us (nice title for a tune?) plan to record a second album in the summer! In August two of my old buddies from NY, Lou Marini and Lew Soloff, will come and join GEJOMA for a tour of Scandinavia, which is also being handled by Hilda! Working with her will hopefully give me much more time for writing and focusing on the playing - I have started to practise again - not scales, but ideas!
The music for Norske Riksteatret and the play "Teddy og Marian" - based on the famous song "Teddybjörnens visa" by Alf Prøysen - is written, and the backgrounds are recorded at Stable Studios in Oslo with my trusted friend, Leif Johansen, behind the controls. The premiere will be in Oslo on Feb. 23rd before the company goes on tour all over Norway.
There are a couple of weeks of touring with GEJOMA in Sweden and Finland, and a couple of weeks with Trio X doing the children's repertoire. And I want to record an album with psalms with the trio!
There is, apart from that, a new collaboration with author Lotta Olsson, who has written some great stories about dogs, that we will try to make into songs.
I feel blessed, priviledged and grateful to have such a great year in the making!
